Sports & Recreation

SPORTS and FITNESS play a major part of what we do and our aim is to serving the community and have created a place where young people can meet and have fun, learn and  burn energy. Here are the facilities we currently offer.

TRAMPOLINING CLUB:

This is one of the most popular events. Featuring 3 ground level trampoline beds and a tumbling track of 10 meters. We run courses for ages 5 to 105 and have some of the best instructors to be found anywhere in the North. Trampolining has become increasingly popular, but people are still unaware of all the health benefits of trampoline exercise. In fact it is probably the most effective form of exercise known to man. It is an aerobic exercise that strengthens every part of the body and is safe and gentle enough for everyone to benefit from regardless of age.

Currently it is £5.00 per hour and runs Monday – Wednesday – Friday 6:00 to 8:00pm

INDOORS CLIMBING WALL:

Running in conjunction with trampolining, is suitable from the age of 6 and above we run courses for beginners to experienced climbers on our 7 metres high wall which has 3 red point descenders & ropes installed which are approved by Entre-Prise. If you can handle the whole adrenaline pumping hanging-from-a-rock-face-by-your-fingertips thing, try rock climbing. It burns up to a massive 774 calories in an hour, and it’s also a mental puzzle, so you’ll be thinking about finding the next crevice to claw at instead of the burn. We accept from novice to intermediate and all our staff are fully qualified instructors.

For more information about suitable times and training please contact us.

TAE KWON DO:

Taekwondo as a sport has over 60 million practitioners in 184 countries. It originates from South Korea. The name Taekwondo literally translates as the way of the foot and the fist – tae means to break or attack with the foot, kwon means to break with the fist and do translates as the art or way.

Taekwondo has been running in associated with Cumbria TaeKwonDo and Master P. James. Our main instructor is Louise Shenton who is a 5th Dan Master along with Martin Shenton. Louise Shenton was a winner of the North West Open.

In association with British Taekwondo we run course from age 5 – Want to get fitter… stronger… then come and join us. We are always looking for new members, and keen to help with confidence, self control and fitness. So come and join in, you may be surprised at what you can achieve.

Classes currently running on Mondays 6.00pm – 7:30pm
